The meeco Equestrian Team introduces new coach Pedro Sánchez Aleman

To follow up the good performance level of 2018 and get some fresh impulses for the show jumping season 2019, The meeco Equestrian Team has decided to start cooperating with a new coach. Since October 2018, the young team has been trained by Pedro Sánchez Aleman. Being a successful and very experienced rider himself, Pedro will lead and inspire the team as a role model and pass his know-how to the young riders.

 

Pedro Sánchez Aleman was born in 1966 in Murcia, Spain. In his career as a show jumping rider, he has celebrated significant successes. Already during his childhood and juvenile years, he became Infant and Junior Champion of Spain, which marked the beginning of an outstanding career in the world of equestrian sports. Pedro gained victories in the most considered events in Europe. He won the King´s Cup in Madrid, was fourth in the renowned Hamburger Derby in Germany, the Born Gran Prix in the Netherlands, and countless International and national Grand Prixs. In the Hamburger Derby, which is known as the most difficult course worldwide, Pedro came in fourth taking just one pole. Moreover, he won the España Absoluto Championship three times. All in all, Pedro Sánchez Aleman won more than 150 International Championships and 300 National Championships and won the gold medal of the National Equestrian Federation as well as the gold medal of the International Equestrian Federation for having represented Spain in more than 50 international championships. However, his participations at three successive Olympic Games surely represent the highlights of his career. He was part of the Spanish Olympic Team in Seoul 1984, Atlanta 1988 and Barcelona 1992.

 

With all these successes and gained experiences during his career as an active rider, Pedro will introduce new approaches in terms of training and competing and will lead The meeco Equestrian Team to unleash its full potential and further improve the skills of each team member.
