Impressive weekend for The meeco Equestrian Team

The meeco Equestrian Team competed at the CSN2* Summer Cup in Murcia from July 19th until July 21st. At the Club Aros, the meeco riders participated in classes from 1.20 m up to 1.40 m. The whole team put on a great performance and topped it off with Calife D´Austral winning the 1.40 m Grand Prix on the Sunday followed by Javas Gold Rush coming second and OurSun Cariana with a great second place in the Small Grand Prix.

At this nighttime show, the meeco riders were highly motivated achieving the best results for the team. In the 1.20 m class, LMK Petit Bonbon jumped clear and thrilled the public with a very good 4th place. Sun2safe Cassara performed similarly. The Holstein mare made a faultless run as well and came in 6th.

In the 1.30 m class, it was Calife D´Austral who attracted attention. As one out of four other competitors, he also finished clear. In the end a few hundredths of seconds made the difference between victory and the second place, which was finally achieved by Calife D´Austral.

The good start in the event on Friday was topped by the results on Saturday, July 20th. Our Holstein mare OurSun Cariana competed in the 1.20 m two phases Small Grand Prix class. With a beautiful clear round and a fantastic jump off, she reached a great second position. Javas Gold Rush participated in the 1.30 m class and the pressure was on for him as he entered the arena. The horse produced a nice faultless and fast round and jumped to a fantastic 3rd place in this challenging field.

The highlight of the first weekend in Murcia was the Grand Prix in the 1.40 m class on Sunday, July 21st. In a high-challenging field consisting of 15 competitors, it was Calife D´Austral who got a sensational day. The horse produced a lovely round, afforded only one single time fault, which was enough to achieve the victory in the Grand Prix at the Club Aros and to walk away with the trophy. Javas Gold Rush performed not less sensationally. With only one pole down and the fastest time of all participants with four points, the horse jumped to the second place.

In the 1.20 m class OurSun Caretanos 2 jumped to the 4th position missing the podium by a few seconds and OurSun Cariana finished 6th.

“After a good start into the event, our riders improved their performances day by day. This improvement found its highlight with the victory of Calife D´Austral on Sunday. It is now our biggest challenge to improve our performance on the second weekend at Club Aros.” stated the satisfied coach Pedro Sanchez Aléman.
